PROWERS COUNTY MOTORSPORTS PARK HAS SCHEDULED A RACE FOR SEPTEMBER 18, 2010. THIS RACE WILL BE A FAN APPRECIATION EVENT PLUS A MEMORIAL TRIBUTE TO JEFFREY SCHIFFER KILLED EARLIER THIS YEAR IN AN “ON JOB” ACCIDENT.

CLASSES RUNNING WILL BE IMCA MODIFIED, STOCKS & HOBBY STOCKS. ECONOS, HOBBY TRUCKS, MINI STOCKS. THIS IS AN IMCA SANCTIONED EVENT.

WE ARE ASKING ALL CLASSES TO CALL AND PRE-REGISTER THEIR INTENT TO RACE. WE MUST HAVE BY SEPTEMBER 8, 2010;
MODIFIEDS --- 15 CARS
HOBBY STOCKS --10 CARS
STOCKS -- 10 CARS
CALL 1-800-830-RACE OR BILL AT 719-691-5312 TO BE INCLUDED ON THE LIST. INCLUDE YOUR NAME, CLASS, CAR #, ADDRESS, PHONE # AND E-MAIL. IF YOU TALKED TO BILL OTHER THAN AT THE PCMP OFFICE PLEASE CALL AND VERIFY THAT YOU ARE ON THE LIST. IF THE ABOVE NUMBERS ARE NOT MET THE EVENT WILL BE CANCELLED.

ALL LOGISTICS OF THE EVENT INCLUDING PAYOUTS, TIMES ETC WILL BE PUBLISHED ON THE WEB ONCE NUMBERS ARE MET. NO CAR NUMBER REGISTRATION FOR 2010 WILL APPLY SINCE THIS IS THE ONLY 2010 RACE. Those that Registered this spring will receive credit at this event.

Attached is the point standings after July 10 in Cheyenne. Thanks to all of you that got Randy (#3) back in the race to win the Main event. It was GREAT racing all evening. Thank You to Doug Hines for keeping the #10 Truck in the Hunt as Bill had to be out of town. Thanks to Chris Perret for joining the group

NEXT Race is at PPIR on August 6, We need all the trucks there we can get. We are well on our way to 10.

All of us at PCMP would like to send our sincere condolances to the family of Jeffrey Schiffer of Springfield, CO. Jeffrey is the son of Warren Schiffer, driver of an Econo Car at PCMP, and recently began racing a Dwarf Car at the Airport Raceway in Garden City, KS. He was killed in an accident in Garden City, Kansas. Our prayers are with the entire family and we share in your grief in this tragic loss.
